Compassionate Firefighter Saves Dog Trapped on Mesh Gate in Kuala Lumpur
Devoting themselves to public service, firefighters often go unrecognized in many societies despite consistently putting their safety on the line for strangers. It's this unwavering dedication that leads people to perceive them as real-life superheroes.
A recent example of such heroism unfolded in Kuala Lumpur, as documented by Malaysian firefighter Ajim. In a video shared on his @ajim5666 account, Ajim captured the moment when a colleague assisted in freeing a stranded dog entangled on a mesh gate.
Approaching the calm canine, the firefighter established a swift yet crucial bond by gently petting its head before attempting to release it from the gate. With remarkable efficiency, the firefighter worked on the mesh, liberating the helpless pup within 15 seconds. Ensuring the dog's safety, the firefighter then calmly petted the newly freed animal.
Subsequently, the firefighter tried to carry the dog to safety, but it briefly resisted, signaling for him to let it be. Respecting the dog's wishes, the abang bomba left it undisturbed.
Our hero this time," Ajim acknowledged, referring to his friend and colleague.
Ajim explained that their fire station had received a call from the dog owner, a Muslim family, seeking help to release the animal trapped at their gate for hours.
"The dog was stuck because its chain got snagged on the barbed wire gate of the owner’s house. So we also came over to help release it," Ajim shared.
The firefighter received widespread acclaim for going beyond the call of duty, with many Malaysians expressing gratitude for his compassionate act towards a dog in need, emphasizing that such kindness deserved acknowledgment.
"Thank you abang bomba, only God will repay your goodness to all of you," wrote one appreciative user.
