15-Year-Old Girl in Penang Dies After 16-Story Fall Following Dispute with Boyfriend
A 15-year-old girl in Penang has died after falling from the 16th floor of her apartment.
According to reports from Sin Chew and Astro Awani, the teenager allegedly argued with her boyfriend prior to the fall, reportedly because he refused to let her check his phone. The victim is said to have self-harmed before the tragic incident occurred.
The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. today (November 11). Police arrived at the scene and detained the victim’s 16-year-old boyfriend for questioning.
PDRM stated that, at this point, no criminal elements have been identified in the case, but the investigation is ongoing.
Police also reported that the victim’s mother was not home during the argument. The girl was an only child, and her parents are divorced. Her mother was reportedly out grocery shopping at the time.
The victim’s body was taken to Hospital Pulau Pinang for a post-mortem. Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculating as they continue to investigate the matter.
