'Waited 3 Hours to Charge’: China EV User Stuck in Long Queue at Charging Station
A Chinese electric vehicle (EV) user has a warning for those considering purchasing one: don’t do it.
In a viral video posted on the Mcar Show Facebook page, the woman, who had already been waiting three hours to charge her EV, expressed her frustration and showed other drivers waiting in line for their turn.
“Please don’t buy an EV. I’ve been in line for three hours, and I have no idea how much longer I’ll have to wait,” she said.
The video did not disclose the specific location.
“Five minutes to fill up with gas, hours to charge a battery,” she added.
The situation left social media users surprised by the "ordeal" EV owners go through just to charge their cars, leading many to question the practicality of owning an EV.
“EVs are not just expensive, they come with a LOT of problems!” one commenter said.
“EVs are what the rich drive to the market for groceries, but they’ll use a Vellfire for long distances,” another user remarked.
A Malaysian netizen also weighed in, saying, “It’s only a matter of time before Malaysian EV users face the same issue.”
“EVs don’t attract me, and they never will, no matter how cheap they get,” another added.
