Sze Fei and Izzuddin Claim Third Tour Title at Arctic Open
KUALA LUMPUR: Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani continued their excellent form by defeating world No. 2 Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark to clinch the Arctic Open title.
Ranked No. 8 in the world, Sze Fei and Izzuddin staged a comeback to beat the defending champions 15-21, 21-15, 21-19 in a 72-minute final held in Vantaa, Finland.
This Super 500 victory marks the Malaysian independent pair’s third title of the year, following their triumphs at the Japan Open and China Open.
They will also be among the top contenders at the Super 1000 Denmark Open in Odense next week.
