Prime Minister Proposes Performance-Based Salary Raises for Civil Servants
In George Town, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim clarified that the recent declaration of a more than 13 percent salary rise for civil servants hinges on performance rather than being automatic.
He emphasized that underperforming civil servants would not receive the increment.
Anwar stated,
"While the salary increase may be automatic for approximately 95 percent of civil servants, the remaining four or five percent who have performance issues will be ineligible."
"We will implement a mechanism to ensure they do not receive the salary raise."
