Since it was posted on X (formerly Twitter) at approximately 11:50 a.m. today, the tweet has earned 10,800 likes and 688,600 views.
A plethora of X users enthusiastically flocked to the comment area after Mohamad's remark, which offered much-needed explanation regarding the prior misunderstanding. They were ready to convey their various and impassioned ideas and feelings.
Most of them, especially the millennials, exhaled in unison when they realised they would not be among those taking part in national service.
Today, the Ministry of Defence cleared up any misunderstandings over the minimum age requirement for the reinstatement of national service.
In a statement released today, it was said that only teenagers will be enrolled in the curriculum upon its revival, and that trainees would be chosen according to the year of their birth.
It further stated that trainees will be selected according to their year of birth and that the maximum age for participation is 35 years old.
For example, the ministry stated that teens born in 2007 will be called to participate in the PLKN programme if it is implemented in 2024.
