PLKN 3.0 Set to Engage Secondary School, University Students, and Young Adults in 2025!
For many of us who have graduated from secondary school and managed to avoid enrollment in the National Service Training Program (PLKN), it seems that it may be making a comeback to impact us once again!
The Ministry of Defence has revealed that PLKN 3.0 will encompass secondary school students, university students, and young adults!
During the question and answer session at Dewan Rakyat yesterday (March 25), Deputy Minister of Defence, Adly Zahari, shared this information while elaborating on the finalization of the engagement, co-curricular, and other training modules for PLKN 3.0.
"Sometimes, when we consider the situation, there are students who do not pursue university education; we categorize them as part of the youth who could participate in PLKN. I believe that once we have completed the necessary arrangements, this initiative will not only involve secondary school students but also include those entering university and those who are not."
"When we examine it closely, we have specific timeframes and age criteria to ensure the effective implementation of this program," he remarked.
This announcement follows a query posed by Ketereh MP Datuk Khlir Mohd Nor to the Deputy Minister regarding the inclusion of young adults in PLKN instead of solely focusing on secondary school students.
According to a report by Kosmo, PLKN 3.0 is scheduled to commence in 2025.
