Ministry of Works Announces Two Days of Free Toll for Deepavali This Weekend
The Ministry of Works has verified that, as a result of conversations with pertinent agencies, drivers will not be required to pay tolls for two days, beginning tomorrow and ending on Sunday (November 11 and November 12). In conjunction with this Sunday's Deepavali event, there was a toll exemption.
According to the minister, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the free toll will start tonight at 12:01 am and run through Sunday at 11:59 pm.
Malaysians are exempt from paying tolls everywhere but at these two locations.
The connecting toll to Singapore is
- Plaza Tol Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI).
- Tanjung Kupang, Johor: Plaza Tol.
According to Berita Harian, Alexander stated, "This initiative is launched to celebrate all Malaysians, especially the Indians who will be celebrating Deepavali this weekend."
