PDRM: Investigations Confirm GISB Holdings Has Never Paid Taxes
Following investigations by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) under the Income Tax Act 1967, it was discovered that GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISB) has never paid the required taxes.
As reported by Astro Awani, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain revealed that the investigation was conducted in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
Razarudin also mentioned that PDRM detected a Facebook post by account holder Dzulkifli Salleh, which was an attempt to raise funds to support the children of GISB members affected by the tax issue.
"The public is advised not to be misled by such efforts, as they are believed to be exploitative. PDRM urges the community to provide any information that could assist in the investigation," he said.
Additionally, Razarudin shared that PDRM’s investigation found that GISB's business practices were influenced by the Aurad Muhammadiah movement, which was derived from Quranic verses but banned at both state and national levels.
He explained that the group's beliefs are so extreme that they distort the true teachings of Islam.
"This resembles an indoctrination process, where the followers wholeheartedly adopt and live by these distorted values. Such a doctrine is dangerous to national security, Islamic teachings in this country, and the welfare of its followers, who depend entirely on their leaders," Razarudin added.
