Netizens Criticize Singapore Coldplay Concert Attendees for Exiting During Final Song
When Coldplay initially announced they would be extending their Singapore tour dates to six nights for the Music of the Spheres World Tour, Malaysians expressed discontent, given that only one night was allocated for them.
Now, it seems Coldplay may be regretting that decision.
A netizen, @nicolealano, shared on her TikTok account a video capturing people leaving early during one of the Coldplay shows in Singapore. Lead singer Chris Martin apparently acknowledged the early departures by saying, "have a safe trip home."
In the video, crowds could be seen exiting the stadium during Coldplay's performance of the song "Biutyful" with their fictional alien puppet band, The Weirdos.
While technically not leaving halfway through the concert, since "Biutyful" was the last song on Coldplay's setlist, people started departing even as the band continued to perform and the show was not yet over.
Many individuals have since commented on Nicole's post, mocking and criticizing Singaporean Coldplay concert attendees for leaving while the band was still playing.
Given the high demand for tickets and the disappointment of those who were unable to attend, it is disheartening to see concertgoers disregard the band during the final song of the night.
