Singapore-Registered Car Stuck on Port Dickson Beach After Driver Attempts Coastal "Cruise"
Any time of day is perfect for a beach stroll or, occasionally, a drive along the shoreline.
Instagram user @alexey.brock shared a curious experience on his recent visit to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, where he encountered an unexpected sight—a stranded car he humorously dubbed “Kereta Lautan” (Sea Car).
Alexey described how he’d planned a quick getaway to Port Dickson, seeking a break from the fast-paced life in Kuala Lumpur. After checking into his hotel, he went for a relaxing beach walk to enjoy the fresh air and unwind. During his stroll, he stumbled upon what he described as a “mystical car,” parked right in the middle of the beach.
Intrigued, Alexey hurried over to investigate and possibly lend a hand. Upon closer inspection, he noticed the car had a Singaporean license plate, and the driver confirmed it was indeed registered in Singapore.
In a video, the driver explained that he had been cruising slowly along the beach when the car suddenly came to a halt. Alexey then advised the driver that his car likely got stuck from driving too close to the water’s edge. In response, the driver insisted, "I wasn’t even near the water; in fact, I was further from it. But then, the water level suddenly rose."
Later that evening, Alexey returned to the spot but found the car had vanished. He assumed it had been successfully pulled out, though he couldn’t confirm it.
“Even with how wild the situation was, I didn’t judge him,” Alexey told WORLD OF BUZZ, adding, “We’re all just human, after all. So, stay safe out there, everyone!”
