WATCH: Malaysian Stops by Roadside to Buy Food, Forgets Handbrake, and Car Rolls into Another Vehicle
A Malaysian man unintentionally caused an accident after parking his car by a street vendor but neglecting to engage the handbrake or close the car door. This oversight led to his car rolling away and colliding with another vehicle.
The incident was shared on the MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL X page, featuring dashcam footage from the impacted vehicle. The page captioned the video, criticizing the driver’s carelessness: "This is what happens when laziness takes over—parking haphazardly, skipping the handbrake, and leaving the door wide open, causing trouble for others."
The footage showed the man’s red Perodua Myvi parked near a street vendor. As he stepped away from the car, leaving the door open, the vehicle began rolling into traffic. Despite his efforts to chase and stop it, the open door struck the dashcam-equipped vehicle, rendering his attempt futile and leaving him visibly frustrated.
This incident serves as a reminder to always engage the handbrake and secure your vehicle when stepping away.
