Musicians on Violin, Cello, and Piano Delight Malaysians with Coldplay Performance at Pasar Seni MRT Station
Malaysian violinist Joanne Yeoh recently posted a TikTok video on her page @joanne8473, showcasing a recent collaboration with two fellow music enthusiasts, pianist Tham Horng Kent and cellist Lynn Ng. Setting up a cozy performance spot inside the Pasar Seni MRT station, the trio delivered a delightful rendition of Coldplay's 2008 hit, "Viva La Vida."
With radiant smiles adorning their faces, the trio embraced the harmonies they produced, seamlessly weaving the tune together. Their captivating performance drew the attention of passersby, with many Malaysians turning to witness the ensemble skillfully interpreting the song, earning applause from onlookers at one point.
Yeoh mentioned that their Pasar Seni MRT station performance was a unique event. While they typically perform individually, they occasionally collaborate for classical concerts or engaging activities. "Sharing good music is important to us! We all believe in giving back to society through our music," Yeoh remarked.
Reflecting on her musical journey, Yeoh shared that she has been playing the violin since the age of eight, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pursue it as both a passion and a career.
Regarding the possibility of reprising their Pasar Seni performance, Yeoh mentioned they might consider it if the opportunity arises.
The trio received widespread acclaim for their talents, with many commenters applauding their performance. One user expressed disappointment at missing their performance while using the MRT and hoped for another chance to see them in action soon.
