Man Transformed His Potbelly with a 4-Minute Daily Workout Over Five Months
Five months ago, Hiragi had a potbelly, but now he’s fitter than most. His secret? A daily four-minute workout.
The Japanese fitness enthusiast shared that he performs a four-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session at home each day. HIIT involves pushing your limits in a short burst of time, similar to sprinting. Hiragi’s routine includes various HIIT exercises, such as burpees and abdominal workouts.
On August 25, Hiragi posted a series of tweets outlining his method, including a video of him performing the workout. His tweet has since gone viral, with over 29,000 retweets and 107,500 likes.
According to Mothership, his tweet translates to:
"From March 2019 to August 2019. Progress within 5 months. Even with strength training done at home, this much can be achieved. The two photos here were taken in the same place and from nearly the same angle—no edits made. (´・ω・`) I took the pictures using my Apple Watch, which is why I’m posing this way."
However, Hiragi's transformation wasn't just due to his workouts. He also made changes to his diet. Mothership reports that he consumes between 1,000 to 1,500 calories a day and follows intermittent fasting, eating only between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m., while fasting for the remaining 16 hours. He avoids sugary drinks, snacks, and desserts but occasionally indulges in bubble tea.
Despite these restrictions, Hiragi ensures his meals remain enjoyable and flavorful!
