Man Captured on Video Urinating in Subang Mall Parking Lot Turns Himself in to Police, Faces RM100 Penalty
On Tuesday, Subang Jaya's PDRM issued a statement announcing their search for a man caught urinating in a Subang mall parking lot. The individual, identified as a Malaysian permanent resident in Australia visiting relatives in Malaysia, promptly turned himself in on November 21 at the Subang Jaya police station around 11:15 am.
The incident, which became viral over the weekend, involved a man urinating in a Klang Valley shopping mall's parking area. Not only did he engage in indecent behavior, but he also ignored a woman who confronted him about it.
Despite investigations revealing no prior criminal record, the 32-year-old man was fined RM100 by the Magistrate Court. The viral episode occurred on November 16, with the man admitting to the act when confronted by a Malaysian woman who was at the location to feed stray animals. After acknowledging the presence of restroom facilities, he casually returned to his car's passenger seat and left the scene.
PDRM emphasized the importance of avoiding public indecency, urging citizens to uphold civilized behavior without needing reminders. The hope is that this incident serves as a lesson for others to act responsibly in public spaces.
