Malaysian Shares Incident of Petrol Station Staff Chasing Singaporean Driver Who Left Without Paying in JB
In a viral Facebook post by Eddie Koh in the group 柔新关卡Both Checkpoint 分享站, a red Toyota Harrier driver refueled at a gas station near the 2nd Link between Malaysia and Singapore. Shortly after, the driver sped off, prompting two gas station employees to chase the car, but they were unsuccessful.
The driver quickly disappeared, leaving Eddie upset at how the driver exploited the employees' trust, who had allowed him to refuel on his own, only for the driver to flee without paying.
"I don't know if you have Alzheimer's or if you're just forgetful. The staff were running after you, crying, trying to get you to stop the car," Eddie expressed.
Eddie, who was present at the scene, instinctively tried to pursue the Harrier driver. "I tried to go after you and signaled you to stop, but you dared to ignore me," he said.
Eddie shared some details that could help identify the driver, describing him as a Chinese man in his 60s or 70s with gray hair. He lamented that the driver's shameless act might result in a pay deduction for the employees.
Meanwhile, the Chief Police of the Iskandar Puteri district in Johor Bahru stated yesterday (July 30) that the police have not yet received any official report on the incident.
