Malaysian Motorcyclist Cheerfully Informs PDRM of Helmet Use After Prior Citation, Receives Another for No Side Mirror
In a widely circulated TikTok video posted by @akramrosmi, Akram was seen approaching a police officer stationed in a PDRM patrol car parked alongside the road while riding his motorcycle in a relaxed and cheerful manner. He enthusiastically expressed his adherence to wearing a helmet this time, aiming to share his joy with the officers after having received a citation in the past.
Boldly tapping on the car window to get the officers' attention, Akram eagerly informed them about his helmet use, recounting his previous citation incident. However, instead of receiving commendation, the police officer swiftly noticed an issue with his motorcycle.
"Where is your side mirror?" the officer queried.
Akram humorously sought confirmation about potentially receiving another citation for the absence of a side mirror, to which the officer affirmed, "Yes, you are. Please pull over your motorcycle," before stepping out of the car.
Akram's initial excitement turned into disappointment as he hadn't anticipated receiving another citation from the authorities for a different violation. The absence of side mirrors on a vehicle poses risks, hindering visibility and potentially leading to accidents from unexpected angles.
Reflecting on the incident, Akram acknowledged a valuable lesson learned that night. He emphasized that his viral clip served as a reminder to others not to assume perfection, subtly imparting a lesson through his experience.
