Florence Pugh in Malaysia to Film Upcoming Superhero Movie "Thunderbolts"!
Malaysia has appeared in many films, either as part of the storyline or as the actual filming location. It’s exciting to see filmmakers choosing Malaysia for its beautiful architectural buildings, which provide stunning backdrops for all kinds of movies.
Recently, @thunderbnews reported that @florencepugh is in Malaysia this week to film scenes for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, Thunderbolts.

According to the update, Florence is rumored to be filming a scene involving a character jumping off Kuala Lumpur’s Merdeka 118, the world’s second-tallest building.
Adding to the speculation, Florence’s sister, Arabella Gibbins, shared a photo on Instagram with the iconic Twin Towers in the background, tagging Florence in the post.
“Never thought I’d be in Malaysia this year.”
In Arabella’s post, she mentions how surreal the past few days have been and that she never expected to be in Malaysia this year. Her caption reads:
“Taking it all in. So many moments and sights to savor. Never thought I’d be in Malaysia this year, so thank you, thank you, thank you lucky stars (aka @florencepugh & @theo_smith).”
This Instagram post has fueled more rumors about the Thunderbolts filming in the city. It seems they’ve done an excellent job keeping it a secret!
According to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki, Thunderbolts is scheduled for release on May 5, 2025.
