Embracing the World: Roti Canai Vendor Delights Diners in Malacca with an Aerial Roti Display
Roti canai, a beloved breakfast option in Malaysia, cherished by individuals of all ages, offers a unique experience when enjoyed hot while witnessing an extraordinary display of tossing and twirling, reminiscent of a frisbee.
In a recent TikTok video shared by the user @mezanrotiman, he and his colleagues captivated restaurant diners at Roti Canai Terbang Mizan Kampung 6 in Malacca with an impressive performance. The restaurant lives up to its name, providing a spectacle where roti canai is skillfully tossed from one person to another across the room.
The Roti Canai Man revealed that his journey began at the age of 10, assisting his father in the family business. By 14, he introduced the now-famous flying roti. He expressed gratitude for this unique skill, which allowed him to explore places like Singapore, China, Thailand, and Australia during his four years in the roti canai industry.
At 45 years old, the Roti Man remains passionate about his craft. Netizens expressed amazement, flooding the comment section with remarks such as, "This is the second time I've seen the flying roti. The first time was in Balok Makmur, Kuantan, back in 1995," and "Wouldn't the bread tear? You're a professional, brother." Others noted the enjoyment of the frisbee-like play and praised the flying roti as the best.
