Did You Know: You Can Exchange Used Cooking Oil for Cash at These Petrol Stations
PETRONAS has launched an initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities to encourage the recycling of used cooking oil.
"By dropping off your used cooking oil at participating PETRONAS stations, you're not only decluttering your kitchen but also helping to protect our waterways from pollution, promoting a circular economy, and supporting the production of Malaysia's biofuels," the company stated.
Instead of pouring it down the sink, which can clog drains, pollute water, and harm wildlife, contribute it to a better cause.
What happens to the used cooking oil?
PETRONAS is working towards producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) partly from used cooking oil. That's right, fuel for planes!
This effort can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the aviation sector.
In exchange for your used oil, you'll receive cash.
To find out how much you can earn, check with your nearest participating petrol station.
