"This is why we can't have nice things" is a proverb in Malaysia.

I'll give you an example of why.

A netizen named Prince Yoshiro posted a video of a couple attempting to jam a mattress into a dryer at a laundry facility on Twitter. They weren't quite able to get the entire mattress inside because half of it was sticking out of the dryer door, given that the mattress is obviously too large to go within.

"I cannot brain people like this," wrote Prince Yoshiro. You should probably just get inside the dryer yourself.

The couple could be seen wrapping up the mattress in the video before attempting—and failing—to put the entire thing in the dryer.

The fact that another mattress was also visible protruding from another dryer below, further adds to the humor of the situation.
