Foreigners Convert Subang Jaya Pedestrian Bridge into a Living Space, Furnished with Chairs and Mattresses
The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) announced that it has taken strict action against foreigners who had turned a pedestrian bridge in the city into a makeshift home, complete with mattresses, chairs, and other items.
In a post on its official Facebook page, MBSJ shared that it had confiscated all the belongings found at the site and cleaned the bridge to restore it for public use.
Photos attached to the post show the pedestrian bridge before and after MBSJ's intervention. In the initial images, at least three mattresses were visible on the bridge, with towels and clothes hung over the handrails. Other items, including chairs, buckets, bags, and even a laundry basket, could also be seen.
In the subsequent photos, the bridge is shown after MBSJ seized the items and carried out a thorough cleanup.
However, MBSJ did not disclose the exact location of the bridge in Subang Jaya.
In its caption, MBSJ encouraged residents to report any violations through its official website or contact the enforcement department via WhatsApp at 019-2207823.
