17-Year-Old Armless Indian Archer Amazes the World with Perfect Bullseye at Paris 2024 Paralympics!
Indian para-archer Sheetal Devi has captured global attention with her stunning performance at the Paris Paralympic Games.
The 17-year-old achieved an extraordinary feat in the Women’s Individual Compound Open Archery event, as one of the few archers in the world competing without arms.
She’s winning hearts in Paris!
Sheetal demonstrates her unique technique: she lifts the bow with her right leg, draws the string with her right shoulder, and uses her jaw to release the arrow.
Sheetal’s incredible performance earned her roaring applause as she flawlessly hit a bullseye, scoring a perfect 10.
She shattered the World Record with 703/720 points.
As reported by NDTV Sports, Sheetal amazed everyone at the Paris Paralympics by breaking the previous World Record of 698 points with an impressive 703 out of 720 in the Women’s Individual Compound Archery qualifiers.
Despite a narrow loss to Chile’s Zuniga Mariana 137-138, which kept her from advancing to the knockout rounds, Sheetal’s performance made a global impact.
Last year, she made headlines by winning three medals at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, securing two golds in the individual and mixed team compound events and a silver in the doubles compound competition.
