In an unexpected twist, Malaysians are being treated to a winter-like experience right in their own surroundings!

While the idea of snowfall in Malaysia may seem like a fantasy, those familiar with Genting Highlands are aware that anything can happen.

Experiencing the sensation of snow, regardless of its authenticity, is a desire shared by many. However, not everyone has the time or means to travel, especially those in the Klang Valley.

Enter the recent viral TikTok sensation by @hazmiftw, amassing an impressive 1.4 million views, offering Malaysians a virtual taste of winter. The video showcases a breathtaking scene: "It's snowing at KLCC." For 14 seconds, viewers are captivated by the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and nearby structures immersed in what seems to be a magical snowfall.

Enhancing the winter wonderland ambiance, the video also features stunning Christmas trees, adding to the festive allure. Unsurprisingly, this spectacle has generated a considerable amount of excitement.

Here's the catch: from December 20th to January 1st, 2024, Avenue K, near KLCC, is being transformed into a snowy paradise.

This daily event takes place for 15 minutes from 7:45 PM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, with an additional session at 8:30 PM on weekends.

The creator of the viral video, Hazmi, disclosed that this 'snow' is actually made of foam. Nevertheless, it provides a semblance of the real experience, complete with the characteristic coolness associated with snow, even though the temperature remains distinctly humid.

This festive display is part of a broader initiative by Avenue K shopping mall, featuring promotions to celebrate the Christmas season. It serves as an invitation to experience the closest thing to snow in a typically tropical climate.
