Uncles and aunts show up for an uninvited wedding in KL to get free food; one of them claims to be the bride's neighbor
We wanted to claim that the recent marriage of Malaysian singer Jacqueline Ng in KL went well, but that wasn't totally true. The visitors who had earlier RSVP'd were left without seats when a lot of uninvited guests showed up to gorge on the food. Jacqueline expressed her ire at the unwanted guests—mostly uncles and aunts—who showed up for the wedding in order to get free meals in a widely shared Facebook post.
"Hello, I'm the neighbor of the bride.""No, I'm not!"
The wedding crashers, according to Jacqueline, were "shameless," and the disorderly situation that resulted from multiple guests having their seats taken by them nearly destroyed the wedding. She claimed that after pretending to be her neighbor, one of the uncles was "exposed" by Jacqueline's actual neighbor.
What a perfect match! The uncle should have known to go at that point, but instead he moved to another table and carried on eating.
Jacqueline's friends texted her the day after the wedding, inquiring about the "uncles and aunties" that had been assigned to their table. The buddies thought the aunts and uncles were there against invitation because they were eyeing the "free food."
Jacqueline became even more enraged by this, which is why she went viral with the issue.
Tell me if you don't have enough money to eat. I'd be happy to feed you, but don't show up without permission! I was unable to properly serve some of the guests because all the chairs were taken.
Additionally, Jacqueline admitted that she was unable to get every photo of them.
Thankfully, Jacqueline discovered a spare table at the wedding hall that could seat the RSVP-ing guests. We find it inconceivable that those who dressed elegantly would arrive and then be "stranded" without a seat.
"I'm not being stingy, but those who RSVP'd had their seats taken by the wedding crashers!"
