The Viral Video Depicting Women Fleeing from Purported Raid Actually Occurred in Solaris Mont Kiara
A recent viral video depicts numerous women fleeing from what appears to be a raid, sparking speculation that it occurred in Singapore. However, the incident actually unfolded in Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
The robinhoot.sg Instagram page recently shared the video with the caption, "When the popo (police) comes to raid," alongside hashtags like #singapore, #singaporeans, and #singaporelife.
Contrary to initial assumptions, the event transpired in Malaysia. In the footage captured from a car, a large group of women dressed for a night out can be seen hurriedly fleeing the scene.
The Malaysia Nightlife TikTok page also shared the video, providing additional footage from within the dispersing crowd, with posts on January 25th and January 26th.
Despite speculation that the women were Chinese nationals, a clarification from a netizen revealed they are actually from Thailand. Responding to a query about their nationality, the netizen stated, "Thailand, brother. I work in that area," highlighting that the majority are Thai and Vietnamese.
Although the location has been identified, the governmental body responsible for the raid remains unclear.
