Shah Alam Man Fatally Stabs Friend Over Consuming His Orange Juice During Ramadan Fast
A colleague was fatally stabbed by a man in Shah Alam yesterday, March 19th, reportedly over a dispute regarding the consumption of orange juice during their breaking of fast.
Shah Alam's district police chief, ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, stated that the police were alerted to the incident at 7:20 pm, which occurred at a workers' hostel in Section 36, Shah Alam, as reported by the New Straits Times.
According to Mohd Iqbal, the 51-year-old suspect grew enraged when his 49-year-old colleague drank his orange juice while they were breaking their fast, as reported by Berita Harian.
Investigations revealed that both the victim and the suspect resided together.
The victim, a Bangladeshi national employed as a general laborer, was fatally stabbed multiple times with a kitchen knife by the suspect, a Pakistani national who has since been apprehended.
Mohd Iqbal stated that investigations are underway under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder."
