Securities Commission Warns Investors About Firm Promising RM7,000 Returns in 3-6 Hours for RM500 Investment
KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has updated its investor alert list, incorporating three new entities, one of which claims to offer a return of RM7,000 within 3-6 hours for a RM500 investment.
According to the SC's website, Factory Forex Trade has been added to its investor alert list for participating in unlicensed capital market activities related to securities dealings and promoting illicit investment schemes promising substantial returns.
Another entity, UF Jaya Investment, has also been flagged for partaking in unlicensed capital market activities associated with securities dealings.
Furthermore, Al-Salam Financial Group has been identified for improperly utilizing the name and credentials of InvestSmart SC, an investor empowerment initiative by the SC, to endorse an illicit investment scheme promising high returns. Additionally, the company has been accused of misrepresentation and unauthorized usage of the SC's name and logo.
