Pregnant Malaysian Attends Jay Chou Concert in KL, Gives Birth Outside Stadium Just Before Show Begins
To residents near Bukit Jalil and Sri Petaling—hang in there! We know the traffic has been chaotic these past few days.
With Hong Kong icon Andy Lau and Taiwanese singer Jay Chou performing in KL simultaneously, fans have been flocking to Bukit Jalil to attend the shows. Despite being heavily pregnant, one Malaysian woman decided to attend Jay Chou’s concert—and ended up giving birth just outside the stadium before the show began.
In a viral post on Xiao Hong Shu (RED), a medical team was seen assisting the woman, with one officer carrying the newborn to the ambulance. Concertgoers waiting in line cheered and laughed in support of the new mom. The video’s poster confirmed in the comments that the woman actually gave birth outside the stadium and not just experienced a fetal kick.
Social media users found her commitment to attending the concert both amusing and impressive.
“This baby must be proud—so many people were there when you were born in the Year of the Dragon,” commented one user.
"Fifteen years from now, your mom will tell you that you were born at a Jay Chou concert," joked another.
