Recently, a 26-year-old Malaysian singer, residing in Taman Chi Liung, Klang, was brutally murdered as the suspect stabbed her eight times, with the fatal wound located in her chest.
On December 20, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officially declared jealousy as the motive behind this heinous crime. According to reports from Malaysia Gazette and New Straits Times, Datuk S. Sasikala Devi, the Deputy Chief Police of Selangor, disclosed that the suspect, a 44-year-old individual, and the victim had a romantic relationship.
The tragic incident unfolded after the victim, Xu Jia Ling, went for lunch with the suspect on December 18. An argument ensued in the parking lot post-lunch, leading to the stabbing.
Sasikala addressed the media during a conference, stating, "The quarrel was believed to have started during lunch, before the victim was stabbed near her car." The police are actively gathering more information about the motives behind the jealousy, the duration of their relationship, and details about their respective careers.
Following the stabbing, the suspect drove the victim's car to his residence, where he inflicted harm upon himself using the murder weapon. Upon discovery of Jia Ling's lifeless body in the passenger seat, medical officers on the scene confirmed her demise. PDRM also verified that the suspect had no previous criminal records.
