Palestinians Involved in KL Incident to Be Deported to Gaza, Says Palestinian Ambassador
Two Palestinian women who recently caused a disturbance at Wisma Transit in Kuala Lumpur will be sent back to Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia.
A video of the incident shows one of the women behaving aggressively, throwing a slipper at a law enforcement officer and damaging property. Her frustration allegedly stemmed from being denied permission to stay outside Wisma Transit, reported Harian Metro.
Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia, Walid Abu Ali, issued an apology for the incident, saying, “I apologize on behalf of the Palestinians in Malaysia and back home. This behavior does not reflect our culture, ethics, or beliefs.”
Walid expressed his gratitude for Malaysia’s steadfast support of the Palestinian cause.
The women are among 127 Palestinians who arrived in Malaysia on August 16 before being transferred to Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital (HAT).
“Some patients have been in the hospital for an extended period, unable to leave due to the conflict in Gaza. This causes emotional stress,” Walid explained.
He emphasized that he consistently reminds Palestinians to respect Malaysia and its people, as they are fortunate to have this opportunity.
For those wishing to return to Palestine via Egypt, the embassy will assist with arrangements, and those opting to stay in Malaysia will continue receiving medical care until they recover.
Walid reassured Malaysians, saying, “This type of incident will not happen again. We love Malaysia and its people.”
He expressed hope that the ongoing war, which has taken so many lives, will come to an end soon.
