In a recent Facebook post by Utarmeme, an unnamed Malaysian individual expressed their interest in the new Proton S70, praising its appealing interior. However, their significant other did not share the same enthusiasm.

To the individual's dismay, their partner found the idea embarrassing, especially since their friend's partner drove a Honda Civic, which seemed more acceptable to them.

The sales advisor attempted to persuade the partner about the advantages of purchasing the new S70, but their efforts were in vain. The partner firmly believed that only Bangladeshis drove Proton cars and insisted on the Civic.

Given their budget constraints, the individual reluctantly agreed to opt for the Civic, even though it meant tight finances and requesting their partner to contribute RM200 monthly, a request that was denied.

"I was prepared to cut back on expenses just to afford the car," the individual lamented.

Upon the arrival of the Civic earlier this month, the individual admitted to enjoying the comfort of the vehicle. However, their partner couldn't help but compare it to the used BMW 3 series recently acquired by their friend's partner.

"Once again, she couldn't help but admire her friend's partner and his apparent wealth. I reached my breaking point and confronted her, leading to a heated argument that ended with her storming out of the house."
