Malaysian Individual Shares Tale of His Cat's Self-Taught Door-Opening Skills, Allowing Independent Entry and Exit
Malaysian cat owner Fatil Kento recently shared a TikTok video on his account @ffjkento featuring his feline companion, Si Tiger, affectionately known as Tiger. The video showcases Tiger's newfound skill of opening the front grill of their house independently. In the footage, Fatil demonstrates how Tiger deftly balances between the gap in the front door and the grill, using his paws to manipulate the handle and push it down, allowing him to exit.
Initially, Tiger attempts to capture Fatil's attention with a few meows, seemingly hoping for assistance in opening the door. When his efforts prove fruitless, he takes matters into his own paws by scaling the grill and maneuvering the latch. Once successful, Tiger gracefully descends and confidently ventures outside.
Fatil attributes Tiger's remarkable abilities to his innate intelligence, noting that the cat keenly observes his movements around the house.
"He's incredibly quick to pick up new things. For instance, I taught him a greeting gesture just once, and now he knows it perfectly. Whenever I call him home, he responds promptly. Even when I allow him some freedom outdoors, he returns on his own at the right time," Fatil remarked.
Amused by Tiger's cleverness, many viewers couldn't resist adding humorous comments, suggesting that he might start fetching items from outside due to his newfound independence.
"Haha, what a smart kitty! But be careful, soon he'll be clever enough to buy his own wet food from the pet store," one user joked.
