Investigators are looking into who stole RM4.6 million worth of chips from Genting Casino.
Recently, it was revealed that RM4.6 million worth of casino chips that were allegedly taken from a Genting Highlands casino are the subject of an inquiry by the police.
Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the chief of Bentong district police, claims that the missing chip case was discovered when the casino's security staff observed that one of the casinos had been broken into at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday of last week.
"The security management of the casino then filed a report on the issue. An inquiry has been opened by the police to find the people behind the missing casino chips.
According to Zaiham, the situation is being looked into in accordance with Penal Code Section 457.
He also asked members of the public to call the Bentong district police headquarters at 09-222222 if they have any information that could help the authorities investigate the issue.
