"I Run My Own Business" - 22-Year-Old Malaysian Student Claims His Outfit is Worth Nearly RM900K
If you were to estimate the value of your current outfit, how much would it be? A 22-year-old Malaysian student recently revealed that his outfit was worth nearly RM900,000!
In a recent street interview at a KL mall conducted by Malaysian content creator @samwongsx, he asked two passersby about the prices of their outfits. After careful calculation, the 22-year-old student revealed that his outfit totaled RM898,200!
The image below lists all the luxury brands and items he was wearing that day.
In the video, Sam was visibly surprised and astonished at the figure, calling it the most expensive outfit he had ever seen in a street interview.
Curious how a student could afford such luxury? The interviewee explained that despite being in college, he works as a sales clerk and runs his own business. He also shared his fashion preferences.
“I am not a fan of big logo designs. I prefer simple and low-key designs, which are easier to match.”
However, social media users were skeptical. Many believed that the items he wore were counterfeit.
“The bag was only around RM1,000, and the Dior was only RM238. You can see more on my Instagram.”
“Please, know your limits when you’re bragging. You might as well say your outfit costs a million ringgit.”
“This video shows that vibes matter; otherwise, you could wear luxury items and still look like they came from a night market.”
Sam confirmed that the student was wearing genuine items, not fakes, as claimed by some social media users. The student even showed Sam his receipts of purchase.
“Yet, people online choose to believe random comments by strangers,” Sam said.
Sam also reminded others to mind their own business, regardless of whether people are spending their own money or their parents’.
“People are constantly improving, so others should stop being mean on the internet. Allow people to express themselves freely.”
As a streetwear fashion enthusiast, Sam added that he started these street interviews to provide insight into how people dress and how much they are willing to spend on clothing.
