"He had no idea what 'crush' meant" Attorney Says Family of Abang Bas And Will Sue Internet Users

Abang Bas is free and intends to take action thanks to the assistance of a Malaysian lawyer, Datuk Ahmad Zaharil Muhaiyar, who paid the RM40,000 bail for the former.

In an address to the media yesterday, September 17, Datuk Ahmad asked internet users and a few celebrities—who he did not identify—to prepare their finances.

The family of Abang Bas is suing in response to public criticism and defamation.

"Tear apart your piggy banks and count the cash. You'll find it simpler. After his detention, Abang Bas has been the target of far too many criticisms, according to Datuk Ahmad.

The attorney reminded internet users to apologize if they didn't want to be sued, but he did not specify when the family would move forward with the legal actions.

"There's still time for you to apologize."

Additionally, Datuk Ahmad stated that he is still working to reclaim the bus, which the police have seized. He added that, given that the people online hardly know the jailed TikToker, everything that has happened thus far has been unfair to him.

"Take a look at things from multiple angles. The fact that you are assuming things about Abang Bas on social media even though you don't know him is really unjust.

"Abang Bas is a decent child."

Datuk Ahmad also provided some insight into Abang Bas' character last night during a live TikTok session, stating that he is a good young man.

The TikToker was only using the word "crush" in his post without knowing what it meant because he didn't know what it meant.

Abang Bas has previously posted videos and images to his YouTube account featuring young ladies riding his school bus, with the term "crush" in the comment. In another video, he was seen taking off a schoolgirl's headscarf and kissing her, claiming that she was his niece.

Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017, Section 15(a)(iii) of the same act, and Section 233(1)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (Act 588) are the three charges for which the bail is set.
