Breaking: Donald Trump Secures Decisive Victory Over Kamala Harris in 2024 US Election
As congratulatory messages pour in from world leaders worldwide, including Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, former President Donald Trump has officially been confirmed as President-elect after securing the 270 Electoral College votes required to claim the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.
According to projections from Edison Research, reported by Reuters, Trump’s victory in the swing state of Wisconsin pushed him over the threshold, making it impossible for his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, to catch up.
Currently, Trump is projected to hold 277 Electoral College votes, exceeding the minimum needed to secure the presidency, with potential for an even larger margin.
In his victory speech earlier today, Trump, now confirmed as the 47th President of the United States, told supporters, “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate.”
Vice President Harris has yet to concede, although Trump has clinched the Electoral College votes required for victory.
