BREAKING: Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump at Rally Leaves 1 Dead and 2 Injured
An assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump occurred during a rally in Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of one innocent attendee.
According to reports from CNN and Al Jazeera, Trump was delivering his speech when a shooter fired, injuring Trump’s right ear. Trump stated, "The bullet pierced through the upper part of my right ear."
Secret Service agents immediately rushed to the stage, checked on the former President, and escorted him to safety amid the chaos, with blood visible on his ear.
The Secret Service reported that they shot and killed the suspected assailant, but not before two other attendees were seriously injured. They confirmed that Trump is safe.
The rally took place on the eve of the Republican National Convention. The incident is being investigated as a possible assassination attempt, with live rounds fired from outside the security perimeter.
The Texas Tribune reported that the first three shots missed Trump. As he turned to look toward the back, one shot grazed his ear, prompting him to take cover.
US President Joe Biden responded to the attempted assassination, stating, "There’s no place for this kind of violence in America."
