"As Early as 5AM" – KL Condo Residents Line Up for Public Restroom After 9 Days Without Water
One day without water is challenging, but a week without it is unbearable. Residents of a condominium in KL had to resort to using the public restroom near the pool after enduring nine days without a water supply.
According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, the water supply was cut off on July 10, and the situation persisted for over nine days.
Some residents had to line up as early as 5 AM to use the facilities.
“We thought the issue would be resolved after lodging a complaint with the condo management, but that wasn’t the case,” said the residents.
The condominium consists of five blocks—A, B, C, D, and E. Only residents in Blocks A and B were unaffected. The remaining blocks, housing over 2,000 units, had to rely on the public restroom, with some residents getting in line before sunrise to avoid the "peak hours."
Each block has 54 floors.
The water management company visited the condominium, but the situation did not improve. They deployed three water trucks to cater to the residents, but it was insufficient.
As of July 20, the water supply had slowly resumed, but the pressure was still low, and the water was murky.
The condo’s management is unsure about the source of the problem. However, they will continue to monitor the situation and work with the water management company to identify and resolve the issue.
