WATCH: Thai Man Demonstrates Durian Harvesting in Thailand
The age-old debate between Thai and Malaysian durians is a common topic of discussion. One notable difference is that in Malaysia, durians are typically allowed to fall naturally from the tree, while in Thailand, they are cut directly from the tree.
This video showcases a harvester scaling great heights to collect Thailand’s renowned Monthong durians. In the footage, the fruit is cut at the stem and requires time to ripen.
Viewers praised the harvester's bravery in climbing a mature durian tree several meters off the ground.
One commenter remarked, "We can make our coconut trees short, so why not durian trees?"
Another added, "This is the first time I've seen someone climb a durian tree."
