Toll-Free Access to All Highways During Hari Raya on April 8th and 9th
Malaysians traveling to their hometowns for Hari Raya will benefit from toll-free access on Monday, April 8th, and Tuesday, April 9th. As reported by the New Straits Times, the Works Ministry has confirmed that the government will exempt toll charges for all private cars during these two days in celebration of the occasion.
This toll waiver will be applicable across all highways, commencing from 12:01 am on April 8th and concluding at 11:59 pm on April 9th. The government has earmarked RM37.6 million for the toll exemptions.
The exemption will apply to all toll plazas except for border toll plazas, such as the Sultan Iskandar Building Toll Plaza and the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza in Johor.
"This toll exemption by the government is a gesture of concern and shared joy with the Malaysian people," stated the ministry in a press release.
