Thai Travel Vlogger's Amusing Take on KTM Intercity Sleeper Train, Surprised by Available Amenities

A video review of the KTM Intercity train journey from Pasir Mas, Kelantan to JB Sentral in Johor by a Thai travel influencer has recently gained viral attention online due to her entertaining approach to the review.

Despite the language barrier, the Thai-language video attracted numerous views and comments from Malaysians who were curious about her insights on the KTM Intercity train service and were drawn to her unique presentation style.

Uploaded by the Thai content creator, Natcha NCS, on Facebook, the video has amassed over 29,900 reactions at the time of this writing.

In the video, she documented her travel experience on the KTM Intercity from Pasir Mas to JB Sentral, showcasing all the available amenities on the train.

Filming her journey at night, she first highlighted the first-class seating coach of the sleeper train, disclosing that the fare is RM113 or approximately THB870.

She amusingly demonstrated the reclining capacity of the seats and the legroom available, which left her impressed.

Natcha then showcased the standard seating coach, priced at RM43 or around THB331.

Once again, she tested the seat's reclining ability and the legroom, expressing her admiration for the foldable table attached to the seat.

Continuing her tour, the Thai travel vlogger exhibited the train's restroom facilities and comically reacted to the button that opened the door to the toilet section before revealing the toilets themselves.

Moving on, she explored the cafe coach, operational 24 hours with a variety of food options.

Natcha opted for mee goreng priced at RM8 and a glass of Teh Tarik for RM2.

She mentioned that the mee goreng was served with a fried egg, although it wasn't visible in the shot as she had already consumed it, substituting it with a fried egg emoji on the screen.

Lastly, she presented the sleeper coach that she booked for herself, emphasizing that a sleeping berth costs only RM55 or THB440. She reclined on the upper berth she reserved and expressed satisfaction with the provided sleeping light before bidding her audience goodnight and settling in for sleep on the train.

In the comments section, many Thai viewers were entertained by Natcha NCS's antics and impressed by the train's facilities.

One Thai commenter praised the KTM Intercity train, considering it superior to those available in Thailand, while another suggested comparing the quality of Malaysian trains to those in Thailand.

Additionally, a Thai commenter appreciated the cleanliness of the train and found the food prices reasonable compared to sleeper trains in their country.

Moreover, a Malaysian viewer suggested that Natcha NCS should experience the new ETS trains by KTMB, anticipating her reaction to the modern and high-tech amenities onboard.

Meanwhile, another Malaysian humorously discovered the existence of these old sleeper trains in the country through a Thai video and expressed a desire to try riding the KTM Intercity train someday.
