Malaysians Call Out PN Candidate for Liking Facebook Pages with Scantily Clad Women: 'Are You Not Ashamed?'
A Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate for the upcoming by-election in Johor has gone viral due to his social media activity.
An X user shared a video showing a scroll through the candidate’s Facebook profile, drawing attention to the “Likes” section. The candidate had followed several indecent Facebook pages featuring women in provocative poses and sexually suggestive content, some of which included full nudity.
It’s worth noting that during the campaigns for the 15th General Election, PN faced criticism for allegedly objectifying women by hiring “sexy” influencers to promote the party.
The video on X has sparked widespread reactions, with many netizens expressing their disbelief over the candidate’s “interests.”
“These people all share the same characteristics. I’m done with the rubbish politics of the Opposition. There isn’t a single credible representative,” one user commented.
Another user tagged local news outlets, suggesting they interview the candidate after the election campaign.
“This is the standard. If you want to join them, you have to like p***,” someone quipped.
“They’re sexual deviants. No wonder they’re aligned with GISBH,” another remarked.
“It’s shocking that he’s publicly liking and following these pages on social media. Don’t his kids, grandkids, or relatives see this? They must know what he’s into,” wrote one commenter.
As of September 26, the candidate has yet to address the issue. However, his recent Facebook posts have been flooded with comments from netizens highlighting the controversy.
“You might want to delete that,” one person suggested.
“Uncle, as a Muslim, please unfollow those pages. I’m serious,” another urged.
“Why are you following women who are barely dressed? Are you not ashamed?” asked one netizen.
Since the incident, the candidate has reportedly unfollowed most of the indecent pages.
