Malaysian Fan Snatches iShowSpeed's Hair Braids and Lists Them for Sale on Facebook for RM100,000
YouTube star Darren Jason Watkins Jr., famously known as iShowSpeed, brought his signature chaos and entertainment to Malaysia earlier this month as part of his Southeast Asia tour.
During his visit, the 19-year-old American streamer embraced local culture, trying everything from nasi lemak to durian. However, things took an unexpected turn when a fan reportedly yanked out a couple of his hair braids.
Photos circulating online suggest that the overly enthusiastic fan grabbed Watkins' head and pulled out two of his braids, which are now being listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace for RM100,000.
The seller described the "product" as "new" and claimed the braids were "handpicked" from the back of iShowSpeed's head.
But the entrepreneurial efforts didn’t stop there.
The same person has also listed a half-face MS88 helmet, similar to the one Watkins wore during his brief 'mat rempit' stunt, for an eye-popping RM250,888. The helmet’s retail price is only RM52.
The total asking price for these "collector’s items" amounts to a staggering RM350,888.
It remains unclear whether the listings are genuine or simply a publicity stunt to capitalize on the American streamer’s viral visit.
In response, netizens joked that the seller should have asked Watkins to sign the helmet, although they added that even then, RM20,000 would still be excessive.
