Malaysian Parents Take 7-Year-Old Son to Jewelry Store to Purchase Teachers' Day Bracelets
Today, 16 May, marks Teachers' Day.
To celebrate this special occasion, a Malaysian couple took their seven-year-old son to a jewelry store to buy gifts for his teachers.
In a TikTok video posted on 15 May, Nurashikin Din captured her husband and son shopping at Habib Jewels.
Three sales assistants are seen helping them, carefully packing 10 pieces of jewelry into pink ribboned boxes.
Nurashikin shared in the comments that the gifts are bracelets, which her son plans to present to his teachers during today's school celebration.
At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 2.5 million views on TikTok.
Many netizens praised the parents for teaching their child to appreciate his teachers.
Some netizens, identified as teachers, shared cherished memories of receiving gifts from their students.
"I'm a teacher... I received a roll-on minyak angin (medicated oil). [The parent] said I must feel dizzy from the responsibility of taking care of their child. That was cute," read one top comment.
"I remember a student who was the last to give me a present. They whispered, 'Teacher, I couldn't afford to give you anything, but I have a drawing.' I was so touched," wrote another teacher.
