Malaysian Man Claims He Has No Money for His Wife but Frequently Buys New iPhone and Drinks Starbucks
Marrying the wrong partner can drain your life of joy and fulfillment.
In a dilemma anonymously shared on the Kelab Wanita Ibu Isteri Malaysia Facebook page, a Malaysian wife opened up about her ongoing struggle with a husband who neither supports her financially nor emotionally. Despite her desire to work and earn her own income, her husband opposed the idea.
The husband, whom she married through a matchmaking arrangement, claimed it would be embarrassing to allow her to work. Yet, he failed to provide for her financially and rarely prioritized her needs.
"The savings I built from my previous online business are gone. We used them to buy a secondhand Myvi and to purchase essentials for our twin babies," she explained.
"iPhones, Starbucks, but nothing for me"
According to her, her husband used her money to pay the loans for his Toyota Vios.
"Whenever I asked him for money, he would say he had none, but the next day, he'd come home with a brand-new iPhone. Sometimes, I found his receipts from Starbucks or fast food restaurants."
She further shared that her husband refuses to eat at inexpensive places and continues to ignore the needs of their twin babies, who rely solely on her for essentials like diapers and milk powder.
The woman admitted that she has considered ending the marriage but was advised against it.
"I've been to the religious department, and they all told me to be patient. My car was sold, and the money went to support my husband. Now I can't even go out."
Despite the hardships, she has not decided to pursue a divorce, saying her post was simply to express her struggles.
"I cry every day with my babies, but thank you for listening."
