‘I’m Done With You’ – Malaysian Influencer Cuts Ties with Brother Addicted to Gambling and Scamming for Money
It takes a lot for someone to cut someone out of their life, but everyone has a breaking point.
For Malaysian influencer @diorlying, that breaking point came when she decided to end her relationship with her younger brother, Ansen, who had become deeply involved in gambling, theft, scamming, and borrowing money from loan sharks.
"This is my younger brother, whom I once thought had changed. If he ever approaches you asking to borrow money, do not trust him. He’s a completely different person now," Dior shared in a post.
Dior explained that she thought long and hard before airing her family's personal issues online but felt it was necessary to warn others about her brother. Ansen would spin “sob stories” to convince people to lend him money, only to disappear without paying them back.
“He told people he needed the money for his sister's college fees or his brother's medical bills.”
Despite giving him multiple chances, Dior finally reached her breaking point after enduring one tragedy after another. She said Ansen started gambling at a young age and had betrayed her trust multiple times.
"You even scammed your girlfriend's family!" she exclaimed.
Dior also revealed that Ansen had borrowed money from loan sharks, which nearly led to her sister being kidnapped as leverage. His addiction was so severe that he even stole and pawned their parents' gold to gamble.
“I still remember the day I found out. I was filming a show, and the host asked my father what his favorite gift was. He said it was the gold chain he received on Father’s Day. That same day, Ansen pawned that chain.”
“I’m done taking responsibility for you.”
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Dior made it clear that she was finished with Ansen and was determined to sever their sibling relationship, citing the overwhelming anxiety his actions had caused the family.
"Every day, I’m left wondering if someone will show up at my sister’s store to cause trouble or if loan sharks will come to my door again. I don’t want anyone to ask me for money anymore! I can’t keep worrying if someone will disrupt my performances."
She ended her message to her brother with a final note:
“Take care of yourself. I’m not afraid of embarrassment. I’m more concerned about my family’s safety.”
