Local Man Wanted in Puchong Fatally Shot as Nearby Residents Report Hearing Gunshots
Yesterday, in Puchong Prima, a man was fatally shot in an incident captured on social media near an apartment building. The individual, now identified as a wanted suspect with a history of legal issues, succumbed to injuries sustained in a gunfight in front of Apartment Sri Acasia, Taman Puchong Prima, at 3:49 pm on January 14.
The MYNEWSHUB Twitter page shared the video and aftermath images. According to a report by Harian Metro, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan disclosed that the deceased man had a criminal record comprising 7 offenses and 6 previous drug-related charges.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, led by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD). The police have urged the public not to share the viral video to prevent potential public disturbances.
The panic ensued among residents around Jalan Puchong Prima 3 yesterday as they heard a gunshot. The online-shared video depicts several individuals shouting, followed by what seems to be a single gunshot.
