KK Mart Cashier Commended for Returning Customer's Wallet Left Behind
On Sunday, April 7th, a woman visited the KK Super Mart's Lucky Garden branch in Bangsar to buy a bottle of water.
After paying the cashier, she inadvertently left her wallet on the counter while organizing her purchases, as reported by FMT.
According to Nirmala Ramoo, quoted by FMT, she handed over the money for the water bottle to the cashier and inadvertently forgot her wallet upon receiving the change.
Realizing her mistake only after reaching home approximately 30 minutes later, Nirmala hurried back to the store in a state of panic, hoping to retrieve her wallet.
However, upon her return, she encountered a different cashier at the counter, FMT reported.
Nirmala explained her predicament to the cashier, expressing her concern that she might have left her wallet behind.
To her astonishment, the cashier informed Nirmala that the preceding cashier had discovered a wallet and securely kept it until the owner returned.
Nirmala was then asked to describe her wallet and its contents to verify her ownership.
Upon satisfying the cashier's inquiries, she was handed back her wallet.
While Nirmala expressed immense gratitude, for the staff at KK Super Mart, returning lost items was simply part of their standard protocol.
According to FMT, KK Super Mart's customer service manager, Nur Shaqira Mozni, emphasized that honesty and customer satisfaction are fundamental values of the company.
Nevertheless, Nirmala felt compelled to reward the staff for their honesty.
"In the rush of the moment, I didn't think about it," she mentioned.
