Fans have gathered to pay tribute to Liam Payne after his tragic death at the age of 31.

Payne, best known as a member of the band One Direction, reportedly died following a fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina. While the exact details of the incident have yet to be confirmed, a spokesperson for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, Pablo Policicchio, stated that Payne had "thrown himself from the balcony of his room."

Police were called to the scene after receiving an emergency call about "an aggressive man who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol," according to Policicchio.

As tributes pour in, fans have gathered outside the hotel where the incident occurred to honor the former One Direction star.

Just an hour before his death, Payne had posted on his Snapchat story, although it's unclear whether the posts were scheduled.
